- El Centro Castellano has two locations in Mexico City, downtown on Uruguay Street and inside the Camino Real Hotel in Polanco. Both offer traditional Spanish food from the region of Castilla, located in the central part of Spain.
The downtown restaurant has old-fashioned decoration that dates from the sixties, mostly bull heads Spanish flags and old photographs. It does not feel like an high-end restaurant but the prices are definitely not low-end. For this reason I prefer the newer location in the Camino real hotel, it is elegant, refined and contemporary.
The food is extraordinary in both locations, everything that you consider Spanish food is on the menu, they have a very extensive wine list and the dessert menu is something you do not want to miss.
