Museo de la Policía Preventiva de la Ciudad de México

Description:

  • Located in the old historical center of the city, in what were once the confines of the Sexta Inspección police department, this museum displays the history of the local police and security forces. The permanent collection covers the period from pre-Hispanic times to the modern age. Models, uniforms and documents show how the old serenos, or night watchman, evolved into the police force we see today. One especially interesting section is the one dedicated to early police vehicles (excluding horses).
