South Florida Youth Symphony - Miami

  • Description:

    • Founded in 1964 by the late Maestro Carmen Nappo, this symphony has performed over 235 concerts and served as a training ground for over 3,000 student musicians. The nonprofit organization offers four to six major concerts each season at various locales in Dade and Broward counties, and it has the distinction of being the very first Florida youth orchestra to perform in Carnegie Hall. Summer camps and season/group passes are available. Venues for these events include: University of Miami Gusman Hall, Lincoln Theatre on Miami Beach, and FIU Wertheim Auditorium.
