    • For a time, most people who entered this address did so with one purpose in mind: to make a beeline straight for the basement restaurant, the Metro Kitchen + Bar, which was a favored hangout for B-list semi-celebrities and their groupies. Now, with a stylish renovation under its belt,  the Astor still wows with its stylish Maison d'Azur eatery. But that's only half the story. This hotel itself has 40 beautifully restored, restful guest rooms with comfortable beds and an upscale feel. While the views on offer are less than perfect, the rooms are quiet and its popular bar and courtyard easily add to the hotel's allure.
