Proving too swank even for South Beach, the very regal Regent packed its bags and moved uptown -- to a more fitting locale in the chichi shopping hamlet of Bal Harbour. But this is no mall hotel. Until the St. Regis finishes completion in the former Sheraton Bal Harbour, this is the only oceanfront resort in the area -- and it's a stunner. The penultimate in luxury, Regent suites are resplendent in mahogany floors, with leather walls, panoramic views of the ocean, bathrooms with 10-foot floor-to-ceiling windows and, my favorite, a free-standing tub overlooking the ocean. Elevators take you directly into your suite, like a luxury apartment building. A Guerlain spa, butler service, spectacular pool and beach area, and world class dining will cost you a pretty penny, but if you're looking to be doted on hand and foot without lifting a finger -- except to pay your bill at the end -- this is the place.

Didn't stay for very long, but the ambience was cool and the rooms were huge! There was a kitchen, living room, dining room and a ginormous bathroom with a really nice shower....

This hotel is one of the best hotel I've stayed in and I travel ALOT! We stayed here 10/12-10/15. Check in was quick. Then Carlos showed us to our suite and put away our luggage....
