  • Opened in 2007, the Angler's isn't your typical South Beach boutique hotel in that here, service -- not surface -- is paramount. Located 2 blocks from the beach, the hotel is a unique collection of four very different buildings -- two completely restored and two brand new buildings offering a variety of accommodations from suites and duplexes to triplex villas. All rooms feature the typical luxury comforts of Wi-Fi, flatscreen TVs and iPod. Not so typical: one remote control works on all of these features -- even the internal and external lights. An outdoor pool is surrounded by gardens and a stellar restaurant, La Maison d'Azur, a South Beach meets St. Tropez seafood brasserie complete with DJ, stellar shellfish, caviar, and over 80 wines by the glass. For those who'd rather do the beach than the pool, stop by the front desk to pick up a beach goodie bag complete with sunscreen, toys, water, snacks, and even the latest best-selling novel. Novel, indeed.
