To start, you will receive a bowl of perfectly marinated olives, which can endanger your appetite, so go easy on them. A soothing, mellow interior makes for a romantic dining experience, or, if you prefer, outdoor tables are available (though the street is hardly as scenic). In between, expect friendly service and excellent meat and pasta dishes at terrific prices. Specialties, such as spinach lasagna with smoked salmon and shank of lamb caramelized with whole garlic, are savored by a savvy crowd that has likely escaped South Beach for this refreshing change of scenery.
