  • Star chef Michelle Bernstein left the fancy confines of the Mandarin Oriental Miami's Azul to open her own, homey 50-seat eatery on Miami's burgeoning Upper East Side. If you drive too fast, you'll miss the small storefront restaurant, a deceiving facade for a whimsical retro orange-and-blue interior where stellar small plates such as ham-and-blue-cheese croquettes are consumed in massive quantities because they're that good. There's also a zingy ceviche; braised duck with Jerez and peaches; conch escargot style in parsley, butter, and garlic; and, for those whose palates can take it, sautéed sweet breads with bacon and orange juice. There's nothing ordinary about Michy's, except for the fact that a reservation here is nearly impossible to score if not made weeks in advance.

  • Party of 6, all our apps fabulous, Tuna tartare excellent, jambon and bleu cheese croquettes very good, entrees just ok.....some very (too) salty, two steaks not cooked to order went...
