Jungle Island Miami (formerly Parrot Jungle Island, which opened in 1936, was a historic fixture in the South Florida community that drew more than 300,000 annual guests. Re-opened at a new location in 2003, the centerpiece of Jungle Island is the theme park featuring a Jungle Theater, a spectacular open-air arena where you will marvel at the extraordinary performances celebrating the wildlife of the world.
You can come "face-to-beak" with more than 200 parrots and macaws in the Manu Encounter, the world's only aviary replicating the clay cliffs of Manu, Peru. The Everglades Habitat recreates South Florida's unique "river of grass" and its wildlife. The park's huge collection of reptiles and amphibians, including an extremely rare albino alligator and a 21-foot crocodile, are housed in the Serpentarium.
The magic of Jungle Island really comes alive at the 1,200-seat Parrot Bowl, where you can ne entertained by the park's world-famous bird shows, featuring the hilarious and amazing antics of trained parrots, cockatoos, and macaws.
Hippo-Mungous Waterslide and Beach
Parrot Jungle Island's waterslide and new private beach is now open, bringing sand, sun and water along amazing animal encounters to guests at the park. The centerpiece of the waterfront fun is the 168-foot long Hippo Slide which is the only one of its kind permanently in South Florida, and features a thrilling 40-degree drop. All guests over 46' in height will be invited to embark on this exciting opportunity as their family cheers them on.Shows:
