Milan is better known for its designer shopping and style rather than its cheap hotels. But there are some great cheap hotels in Milan you just need to know where to look. And don't worry you won't have to compromise on quality or cleanliness for the sake of your purse and you'll have some extra change left for that shopping.
With must see stops like the world's third largest cathedral, Milan's Duomo, the lovely church of Santa Maria delle Grazie which houses Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting 'The Last Supper', and the world famous Teatro alla Scala, Milan's Opera House.
The two star 'XXII Marzo' Hotel is a small, 15 room hotel without the fussiness and high prices. Rooms are modern, comfortable and the hotel has a good location on Piazza Santa Maria del Suffragio with its nearby tram stop.
Still speaking of location the one star 'Aurora' is also in a great position, directly on the busy Corso Buenos Aires) and with attentive family owners, large bathrooms and reasonable prices its hard to beat.
With clean, simple rooms, private bathrooms and a location close to Corso Buenos Aires, Malta is a good cheap option for accommodation in Milan even if breakfast is not available at the hotel.
