Guthrie Theater

• Despite a modernist new theater building (completed in 2006) that might remind passersby more of an aquarium or planetarium, there's nothing newfangled about the Guthrie: it remains the definitive theater experience of the Twin Cities. The Guthrie hosts three stages in the building, make it easy for the theater to offer something for everyone at all times. The Guthrie is know for its productions of the classics including an annual production of Christmas Carol and a regular lineup of Shakespeare. Concerts, one-man show, and new drama are also commonly featured. Regardless of what you opt to attend, the Guthrie is a great place to come for an enjoyable, thought provoking evening of entertainment.
