If stretching your budget is on the agenda, check out our list of cheap hotels in Moab. Save your pennies for your adventures while you sleep in cheap surroundings. But don't think you'll need to compromise quality or cleanliness for the sake of your pocketbook. These no-fuss hotels offer a true value.
Not much is cheaper than a campground, and you can find just that at Arch View. There are tent spaces as well as RV hookups if that's your preference, though. Note that it's a ways from town, making it closer to the Canyonlands National Park entrance. And how about a hostel for cheap? The Lazy Lizard is fairly decent, and it offers a full kitchen along with a barbecue to grill on.
The listed nearby motels provide the basic amenities. They each offer great low rates, clean rooms, and easy access to nearby Arches National Park as well as Moab's walking downtown. The Big Horn Lodge, Moab Valley Inn, Silver Sage Inn, and Inca Inn are all on Main Street, ranging from south to north.
The Kokopelli Inn is perfect for those who want a more mellow, less touristy feel. Plus, it's off the main drag but still close to town center, making you feel in the heart of things without being on a major thoroughfare. If you choose the Apache Inn, ask for the John Wayne suite-the legendary actor stayed here while filming his many westerns on location.
And remember to always ask each hotel or motel if they're offering any special discounts. Who knows, you might save even more!
