Cheap restaurants are fairly easy to find in Moab. This outdoorsy town draws young, hip, and pocketbook-challenged adventurers who demand quick, yummy, cheap eats from their favorite southwest destination. While the cuisine here may not include the diversity of that found in Salt Lake City, there's enough variety in both taste and cost to satisfy most diners. Better yet, all of these cheap restaurants are located right in the heart of Moab's walking downtown.
Breakfast: The Love Muffin Cafe dishes up organic coffee and local ingredients. Wake and Bake Cafe makes a mean crepe, either savory or sweet. A hummus wrap and fresh smoothie are really delicious at the Peace Tree Juice Cafe. Each of these reasonably-priced restaurants is also truly local, sporting the vibe and energy that regular patrons bring.
Lunch and dinner: Pantele's Desert Deli is definitely a locals' favorite for sandwiches, and you can make your own signature sandwich from their large selection of fresh ingredients. At the Moab Diner, you're pretty much assured of getting hearty food that's super tasty; plus, you'll likely rub elbows with real old-timers. Both Paradox and Zax toss some great pizza pies. Paradox will deliver to your hotel room if it's within the downtown area. Zax has a casual bar setting and an open dining area that welcomes families.
Decent quality chain restaurants: Denny's, Hogi Yogi, and Teriyaki Stix are solid for convenience, quality, and cheap prices. Keep an eye out for coupon books in your hotel lobby or at the grocery stores for even more savings at these already inexpensive restaurants.
