  • What are the best cool things to do in Moab? The famous hike...the secret wilderness playground...the amazing bike trail. What makes them cool activities to do in Moab? The hot tips you'll get about them here!

If you've traveled to Moab from far way and don't think you'll ever be back, you absolutely must see world-famous icon Delicate Arch. It may be overphotographed, but that's for good reason: it's a truly stunning piece of natural architecture that frames an incredible backdrop.

The Slickrock Bike Trail is another world-renowned Moab experience. Imagine a mountain bike trail that takes you over hilly patches of slickrock, down through sandy wallows, and never stops with the amazing views of the Manti-La Sal Mountains to the east. Then imagine telling your friends back home that you actually rode it. Now, that's cool.

Sort-of-secret locals' spots are always cool. Behind the Rocks and Sego Canyon both fit right into this category. South of town, Behind the Rocks seriously almost rivals Canyonlands for scenery and remoteness. Sego Canyon to the north has not only petroglyph (ancient Indian rock art) panels, but the remains of an old mining ghost town. Pretty darn cool.

And we included Canyonlands by Night tour company because, hello, you get to go on a Colorado River boat tour at night. Neat! And the Film Museum highlights mementos and information about all the old Westerns that were filmed in the area. It's cool to find out you were hiking right where John Wayne once filmed a movie.
