Searching for breakfast or brunch in Moab? You have a selection of choices, from gourmet coffee and citified dishes to down-home-diner heartiness. A Moab breakfast or brunch will have you raring to hit the shops or the trail after your morning repast.
The Love Muffin Cafe is a local favorite for its cheerful ambiance and organic coffee, which some swear is the best in the west. Stroll to the Jailhouse Cafe for pretty presentation in an actual former jailhouse. If you're in the mood for an energy-laden smoothie, order one up at the Peace Tree Juice Cafe and tuck into a croissant sandwich for an added boost.
Eklecticafe serves up a varied choice of vegetarian breakfasts. The funky décor of the little cottage that houses this restaurant is an added conversation piece. The Wake and Bake Cafe doesn't stretch the menu imagination, but the ingredients are fabulously yummy, and your wallet will thank you for eating here. At the Red Rock Bakery and Net Cafe order a Toastie on sourdough-oh, delish.
The Moab Diner may not be fancy, but if a filling breakfast is what gets you going, eat here. And Zax is more known for its pizza, but surprise! Their breakfasts are darn good too. Smitty's Golden Steak won't end up reviewed in gourmet magazines, but its down home atmosphere and real local appeal means it caters to the genuine crowd. And no, Wicked Brew doesn't have full-on breakfasts. But for those who shun morning meals, the coffee at Wicked Brew is probably the best in town to get you revved for a day of adventure.
