So what brought you to Moab in the first place? Probably one of the big, looming attractions that lures most travelers. This was a tough list to narrow down, since Moab's attractions are ample, ranging from hiking to biking to national parks. But we managed: these are the hot spots no visitor to Moab should miss.
The first two top attractions in Moab are Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, of course. While there are days upon days of spectacular attractions to see within each park, we added Mesa Arch and Landscape Arch to the list for specific reasons. Mesa Arch in Canyonlands has that classic sunrise shot framed in it that you've definitely seen many times, even if you didn't realize it. And Landscape Arch in Arches is one of the world's longest natural arches-it's longer than a football field, and very thin too. Mountain biking is one of the most popular reasons to visit Moab. The Slickrock Bike Trail, which starts in the Sand Flats Recreation Area, might be the most famous bike trail.
Moab has literally set the scene for countless movies, including Thelma & Louise, alien flicks, and John Wayne classic Westerns. Head to the Film Museum at Red Cliffs Ranch for an in-depth look at Moab's movie history, and pick up guides that can take you spots where the most famous scenes were filmed. The almost unbearably gorgeous scenery all around Moab demands many photos. Drive the scenic byways to discover the best spots for the best shots.
