The very personable and responsive owners have a bookcase full of local hiking books and maps, tons of suggestions on where to go and what to do, and might even help you out with a shuttle ride so you can do that trail you've been eyeing. Try to get that sort of service at a hotel! Handicapped accessible, own entrance, and they'll even consider a well-behaved dog (They have one of their own who apparently likes to check in on the guests for mutual adoration visits.)
