  • NileGuide Expert Says:

The hub of well-managed outdoor recreation in Moab

  • Description:

    • In an unusual partnership between the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Grand County, this large outdoor playground is preserved for your pleasure. The world-famous Slickrock Bike Trail, Porcupine Rim Bike Trail, and almost 40 miles of 4x4 trails are within its boundaries. This is the place to go for mountain bike riding, ATV-ing, and Jeep touring. Overnight camping is also permitted here.

Good to know: "SFRA's mission is to protect the natural features of the area from adverse recreational impacts while providing access to sustainable and enjoyable recreational opportunities."

Fees: private vehicles are $5 for one day or $10 for seven days. Cruise in on your bike, a motorcycle, or via shuttle and you pay only $2 for one day or $5 for seven days. Think you'll be here often? Get an annual pass for $20.
