Even though the Kalaukoi Hotel is closed, this fabulous shop remains open. It is well worth the drive. The surf shorts and aloha shirts sold here are better than the norm, with attractive, up-to-date choices by Jams, Quiksilver, and other brands. Tencel dresses, South Pacific shell necklaces (up to $400), and a magnificent hand-turned milo bowl also caught my attention. Most impressive are the wiliwili, kamani, and soapberry leis and a handsome array of lauhala bags, all made on Molokai.
