• The Blondel family have come out with a collection of 6 bottles of different Swiss wines and if you line them up, it spells LAVAUX. The attractive and limited collection consists of Merlot, an "Assemblage" of reds, a Gamaret, a Diolinoir, a Pinot Noir and a Plant Robert. My favorite is thethe Pinot Noir but they are all of superb aroma and delightful taste, especially with typcial Swiss cuisine. Only 10 mintes from downtown Lausanne, the vinyards of the Blondel family are in the heart of Lavaux which is now designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Their wine tasting "cave" is a few steps from the shore of the Lake of Geneva (Lac Leman).
