- Considering that this place is within a stone's throw of touristy Fisherman's Wharf and the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, its rates are quite reasonable. It is a pretty, low-rise property on a lovely street in downtown Monterey. The decor and architecture are pleasant though not stunning and the guest services and amenities are more than adequate. One feature to note is that the entire property is non-smoking.
