  • Legend has it that "Lovers Point" used to be called "Lovers of Jesus Point," back when Pacific Grove was a Methodist retreat camp. Well, religion was dropped from the title and today Lovers Point is a perfect spot to picnic, go for a leisurely stroll, or simply watch the wave. It also happens to be one of the few spots in Monterey where the sunrise and sunset can be seen. As most of the Monterey Bay faces south, these two welcoming phenomenon are usually missed. However, Lovers Point provides the perfect vantage point to watch the day begin and end, whichever you choose.
