Getting There: By Air: Monterrey is serviced the General Mariano Escobedo International Airport (+52 81 8345 4434/ http://www.aeropuertosmexico.com), located 24km northeast of Monterrey. The airport offers flights on the following airlines. Aeromexico (http://www.aeromexico.com/ ) American Airlines (http://www.aa.com/ ) Avianca (http://www.avianca.com/ ) Copa (http://www.copaair.com/ ) Continental (http://www.continental.com/ ) Mexicana Airlines (http://www.mexicana.com/ ) Transportation services from the airport are limited. A minibus service is offered by Suburban (+52 81 8332 3010) and taxis are available outside the arrivals area.

Rental Car companies include: Avis (http://www.avis.com ) Budget (http://www.budget.com) Dollar (http://www.dollar.com/) Hertz (http://www.hertz.com ) Payless (http://www.paylesscarrental.com)

By Bus: From Monterrey to Mexico city takes approximately 12 hours by bus. A number of providers offer service to destinations along this line. By Car: Monterrey is serviced by a large network of federal and toll roads. The city can be reached via the 85, 53, 54, and 40 Highways.

Getting Around: Local transportation is provided on a basic two-line metro. Taxis and rental cars are the most efficient means of getting around the city.
