- There are almost too many Stake Houses to choose from when selecting a list of the Top-10 places to have a mouth watering stake and memorable evening. Many of these restaurants have been around as long as anyone can remember and are thus plush and decorated in plush old-world charm. A few of the latest like Joe Beef and Queue de Cheval offer up in gourmet cuts of the red stuff in less stately yet chic ambiances. The Que de Cheval (the Horse's Tail-- don't worry, the stakes are 100% beef) might be a polar end away from the historic style and comfort offered up at Moishe's, the reigning Steakhouse for at least a half-century, but that just goes to show that you can have the old and the new, side by side, as long as they're served thick and juicy....
