• The Ruby Foo's hotel and restaurant is an old Montreal landmark. While it has had a few incarnations since it's peak in the 50's as a happening nightspot, it has always retained it's elegance and joie de vivre. Situated on the side of the Decarie Expressway, a dug-out highway that runs from the airport to downtown, the neighborhood is no longer an entertainment strip (partially because they built the highway, but mostly because the demographics have changed a lot in 60 years). Nevertheless Ruby Foo's is still an oasis of affordable comfort.  And the food is impressive for a hotel this size, with many restaurants to choose from; there's La Tulipe Noire (continental), Nagano Sushi Bar, and Chez Vito (Italian), and Le Pavillon de l'Atlantique (fresh fish and seafood). If that wasn't enough, there's a giant orange across the street which is another landmark from the 50' but still bustling, it's a snak-bar to which Montrealers will never tire of driving and parking-- Gibau's Orange Julep. Their specialty is a blend of fresh orange juice and ice cream-- apparently it goes well with fries.
  
  The rooms are luxurious and well designed, with all the amenities you come to expect from a four star hotel.
