La Cabane - Montreal
  • Cuisines: Local Traditional
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

This is a great venue for a large group. Reservations are recommended.

  • Description:

    • Usually you have to head out of town to experience a Quebec Sugar Shack. La Cabane is an urbane version of a cabane à sucre located at the Pavillon Jacques-Cartier at the Quays of the Old Port. Come and enjoy pea soup, piles of baked beans, eggs bathed in maple syrup along with some more sophisticated fare like mousse de foie de volaille and maple jelly, smoked squash potage, braised beef stew and maple. The decor complete with moosehead is a trendy mix of urban and rustic to match the menu. This is  comfort food at its best, Quebec style. You'll need a leisurely walk through Montreal after eating here.
