  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Galerie Walter Klinkhoff is one of the oldest and best known commercial art galleries in Canada. The Klinkhoffs specialize in the purchase and sale of important Canadian art for over 50 years, including works by the Group of Seven, the Beaver Hall Hill Group, the Canadian Impressionists, 19th and 20th century Canadian artists, the abstract expressionists, the Contemporary Arts Society and other moderns, and contemporary painting and sculpture.

  • Description:

    • One of the best-known fine arts galleries in the city, and located in one of its most prestigious areas, this gallery boasts a wide range of contemporary art. Paintings, pottery, sculpture, etchings and fine prints have all been part of the gallery's displays at one time or another. In fact, some 40 years ago, well-known Canadian artist Emily Carr chose the gallery for the presentation of a collection of ceramic pottery. Today it maintains that reputation by presenting some of the best Canadian and international art, both by established artists and those just making a name for themselves.
