- Banlieues Bleues is an artistic and cultural project which supports the creation and presentation of live music at local, regional, national, and international levels. It encourages the public to be informed, educated, and conscious, with the intention of fulfilling popular demand for live music. La Dynamo, the music venue and rehearsal space managed by Banlieues Bleues since 2006, is the first in France to be specifically devoted to jazz and improvisational music. The association also organizes a renowned annual festival of jazz music, related musical genres, and a range of other arts including theater, photography, cinema, dance, literature, and fine arts.
