Satirikon Theatre of Arkadii Raikin (Satirikon imeni Arkadiia Raikina)

Description:

  • The Satirikon theatre is relatively new - it was opened in 1987. However, it has its roots in the older Leningrad Theatre of Miniatures (usually known as the Theatre of Arkadi Raikin) that was active from 1939 and moved to Moscow in 1982. Since 1987, the post of theatre director has been taken up by the son of Arkadi Raikin, Konstantin Raikin. The theatre houses a cast of young, talented and enthusiastic actors. Productions include plays penned by classic playwrights like Shakespeare, Molier, Rostand and Kafka.
