Sanduny Bathhouse

Description:

  • The Sanduny Bathhouse is the most famous Banya or Russian Bathhouse in Moscow. It was built by Empress Elizabeth II and was the meeting place for the Russian aristocrats and high society. The bath has steam rooms and dunking pools that expose your body to extremes of hot and cold water. Thus opening pores and generally rejuvenating you. Two hours at Sanduny costs between RUR600 and 1000. There are separate sections for men and women. If you work up an appetite with all the bathing and relaxing there is a restaurant that serves sumptuous Russian fare.
