Hi, it's better to take Cash Dollars and credit cards with you. There are a lot of citibank ATM in Moscow but not inside the airport. If you stay in the hostel they gice you a paper that you will stay there for 20 days and you can get visa for this period.

Usually to exchange travel checks costs 4% of comissions. I had a friend that had a card with him and he went to the bank near the house and took rubles right from a euro card in VTB24 bankomat. The comission for converstion takes your own bank where you keep the card and some can get the bank like VTB24. You can go on their cite and check. http://www.vtb24.ru/en/

You can change travellers checks at American Express Center without commission. No Citibank ATM in Airport but lots of other ATMs. Where do you plan to go - you want residence in Moscow or somewhere else?

Yes most banks will exchange travellers cheques but so will hotels and change shops rates vary between 5 and10% I don't think there is a CitiBank ATM at the airport but most ATM's will work. Do you want an hotel or to rent an apartment?

Jia Good Morning batter take USD with you. it will be more good for you. cash USD and when you will come you may open account in the bank in 10 min and put your all money there. when you will fly take your money back easy and simple way. its safe and easy rest of things are very expensive and commission is high here. every bank own system here. feel free to ask me my skype: atifmoscow

Hi! It's unpleasant to say this about my native country. But everything here (with few exceptions) is aimed at deceiving people by taking as much money as possible. So i strongly recommend you not to use our banks services to avoid big problems and expenses.
