The Staff are friendly and inviting, and the hotel has a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, making it a welcomed escape from chaotic exploration and the city conundrum. For those looking for a real budget, there are a number of traveler hostels which will cater for the intrepid backpacker on a shoestring. The YMCA is the cheapest hostel in the Colaba area, and the basic rooms are clean and comfortable, even equipped with air-conditioning and private bathrooms, with breakfast is provided. The hostel is a popular choice for many young visitors to the city, and can be a good place to meet other westerners, and pick up some useful city tips.
