• Alongside Chowpatty's watersports complex H2O, this restaurant sits on the edge of the beach, a few feet from breaking waves. Well-lit terra-cotta sculptures add to the serene atmosphere of this absolutely stunning location. Pick from a variety of seating options -- hammocks, lounge chairs, sofas, or traditional tables -- and wiggle your toes in the sand, enjoying the sea breeze. Bar manager Naveen Kotyankar, who also designed the bar menu, makes a delicious Watermelon Caipiroska, definitely one of the best drinks on offer. Unfortunately, things go rather downhill after the cocktails, and on several occasions the food has tasted like airline food. There's a reason: We later found out the food is precooked in a kitchen 30 minutes away and reheated here. Note: Call ahead and check that alcohol is being served -- the establishment seems to have trouble renewing their liquor license each year.
