• Pravina Mecklai founded this gallery in Jan 1999 and named it after her father. True to its name 'Jamaat' meaning gathering or stage has paved a platform for young artist who want to take their work to the public. Many amateur artists and first-timers who have displayed their creation here in the initial stages of their career have become famous artists and regulars on the national art curcuit. This gallery has played host to some of the most applauded and popular exhibitions in the country where both national and international artists have displayed their work. Some of the well known names that have displayed their work here are Gori Saroj Pal, Laxma Goud, Samir Mondal, Raja Segar from Sri Lanka and Sonja Weder from Switzerland.
