Siddhivinayak Temple

Siddhivinayak Temple - Mumbai

  • Description:

    • This temple at Prabhadevi is the epicentre of religious faith and abode of Lord Ganesha. It was built in 1801 by Vithu Patil and is now in the hands of the Siddhivinayak Ganpati Trust. The temple was completed 200 years ago according to the Hindu calendar. The devotees experience a strong feeling of purity and freshness, and a sense of peace pervades their frayed nerves. There are bel leaves, milk and curd "abhisheks" for Lord Ganesha and generous portions of oil for Lord Hanuman. The temple is a pilgrimage spot for many and is the centre of feverish activity all year round.
