Altstadt
Munich's Altstadt (old town) is this historic city center which includes most the city's landmarks. From gothic to rococo, visitors can see Munich's history pass before their eyes in a very short walk. Some of the sights one passes on such a brief walk include the former royal palace, St. Peter's church, the Frauenkirche, the world famous Hofbräuhaus, and Marienplatz. The vast majority of sights and entertainment for any visitor to Munich can be found here within the former city gates.
