Description:
This restaurant and beer hall is set on two floors of a postwar building adjacent to the rear of the Frauenkirche. It serves beer brewed in a monastery near Munich (Andechser) and generous portions of German food. You're welcome to order a snack, a full meal, or just a beer. Menu items are often accompanied with German-style potato salad and green salad and include such dishes as veal schnitzels, steaks, turkey croquettes, roasted lamb, fish, and several kinds of sausages that taste best with tangy mustard. In clement weather, tables are set up on the roof and on the sidewalk in front, both of which overlook the back of one of the city's finest churches.
