- If there is one fish restaurant in Munich that everyone knows, it's Das Riff on Mariahilfplatz. The menu is 90% fish and is so long you may have problems choosing! The choice ranges from European dishes such as bouillabaisse or bass with pasta and prawns to exotic Asian cuisine like grilled stone fish with Asian vegetables. Apart from the standard menu, there is also a daily special (depending on what's on offer at the market), which is displayed on the board outside. Prices are fairly mid-range (EUR 10-20). The lunch menu will cost you (EUR 8.50). The decor is plain, yet the ambience (augmented by an original tiled oven) is still cosy.
