Show up early if you want a choice of beers!

Description:

St. George's day was traditionally the end of the brewing season.  From 1553 until the 19th century beer could only be brewed during the colder months of the year (from September 29th until April 23rd).  Today the day is still celebrated as Bavarian Beer Day.

During the week of April 23rd various beer related events are held, but the most famous is on April 23rd where the famous beer fountain runs where anyone with a cup can drink as much beer as they want until it runs out.  The kegs are typically tapped at 10am and are dry by 2pm.  Food is also available for purchase and glasses can be gotten for free with a deposit.
