• Post-1960 American art is the dominant theme of the Daniel Blau gallery, but in a somewhat idiosyncratic style. The owner of the gallery, who is extremely familiar with the art scene, is forever coming up with astonishing finds among works by well-known artists, such as several unknown drawings by Andy Warhol or asides from the work of Meret Oppenheim. Another especially attractive feature of the exhibitions is an enchanting collection of old photographs, hidden away under the cryptic title Early Photography, which contains old photographs from, for example, Japan or Egypt, taken between 1850 and 1880. Another collection which bears a highly individual stamp is the collection of African tribal art, which is on show from time to time.
