Description:
- The Haus der Kunst (literally house of art) was built by the Nazis in 1937 to showcase exhibitions having a very narrow focus to only what the party found appropriate at the time. The building survived the war and starting from 1946 exhibitions have been held again although no permanent collection has been at the Haus der Kunst since 2002.
