NileGuide Expert tip:
From the park you can directly enter the new botanic garden and continue your stroll amongst the flowers beds and green houses.
Conveniently located behind the palace of Nymphenburg the park is a masterpiece of connecting the formal royal garden with a landscaping park. It is a favorite with the locals and people come here for leisurely strolls, relaxing as well as jogging and exercise. The park houses little side palaces like the "Amalienburg" (a little hunting palace) as well as other buildings, like the "Magdalenenklause" an artificial ruin with an integrated chapel completely decorated with sea shells, stones and stucco works. You can get a combination ticket for Nymphenburg palace and the side palaces or buy a ticket for the side palaces only. During the summer months the royal garden will shine with its flower arrangements and its numerous statues of Greek gods. During the winter the statues will be covered to protect them from frost.
