North Myrtle Beach offers the same great attractions as Myrtle Beach, but just at a slower pace. Bars, surf shops, theaters, hotels and restaurants line North Myrtle Beach's Highway 17, but the area is popular mostly with families. The Barefoot Landing area is the central part of the neighborhood. Barefoot Landing is the premier entertainment, shopping and restaurant center of North Myrtle Beach. Located along the Intercoastal Waterway, some of the most popular attractions are Alligator Adventure and the Alabama Theatre.
