The Archaeological Museum

  • Type: Museums
  • NileGuide Expert tip:

From the 1st of November until the 31of March, admission is free every Sunday.

  • Description:

    • Finally the Archaeological Museum of Nafplion has reopened her doors after years of restorative work in the old arsenal building it occupies. Visitors can see Europe's oldest armor dating back to 1400 BCE along with 2,000 other exhibits that span 33,000 years, covering the Neolithic, Mycenean, Classical, Hellenistic, and Roman periods in the Argolid region.

For that much history, the two euro price of admission seems like a real bargain.
