- Visiting a children's home is one of my most rewarding free activities. Mama Ngina's Children's Home is one of the children's homes that I love to visit. Occupied by children who have been abandoned or orphaned, it is such a place of simple joy and happiness. The children are of all ages. And they looove visitors! I call them my "dose of reality" because they remind me not to take life too seriously. To see those innocent faces so happy to receive visitors... It's a joy. While there, you can help with any of the household chores alongside the children, or just sit and visit with them.These children don't have families, and many of the things we take for granted. And at the end of the day, you leave there having brought a smile on a child's face, and warmed your heart in the process. Yet another treasure in My Nairobi...
