I suggest Nairobi Alboretum - lots of space and trees. Get a guide and make it a learnign experiance for the kids.

Village market is good for kids play areas and food

Just 1/2 hour drive on the out skirts of Nairobi is Paradise lost on Kiambu Road - good site for long walks, boating etc.

Try also the Tigoni Inn - nice waterfalls and walks

Karen Blixen museum - good food

Animal orphanage is good. If kids love animals... Nairobi Safari walk. There are other places out of Town like paradise lost on Kiambu road.

There are also places like village market where kids can play some games.
You can also check website for some places http://www.bonfireadventures.com/
