Description:
In 1944, the pilot of an American bomber misjudged the wind factor while trying to bomb a German ship in the port of Nantes, and to everyone's horror, a then-antique hotel was blasted and virtually incinerated. In its place, shortly after the war, was erected this five-story, beige-fronted replacement. Its interior was completely renovated in 2007, based on the conservative modern taste of its owner, M. LeMoine. The comfortable, midsize rooms are well furnished and tidily maintained. There's no restaurant on-site, but thanks to its location in the heart of Nantes's historic core, there are "at least 50" restaurants within a relatively short walking distance.
