Description:
- The Hungry Whale Guest House is a lovely quaint bed and breakfast owned by the Sullivan's, Dennis and Mary Ellen. The Hungry Whale B&B Guest house has been operating since 1969. In 1998, Dennis and Mary Ellen took over the Inn from Mary Ellen's mother, Mrs. Johnson. They continue to run the inn with the same charm, warmth and hospitality. Mrs. Johnson also passed down her famous recipes for her awarding winning Jams,Jellies, Cakes and delicious Muffins, served daily to our guests. Because the Hungry Whale is so centrally located, walking or biking to town or the sun setting Step Beach is a delight. In town you can stroll through the unique shops or sit on the many benches outlining the Belguim cobblestone streets with an ice cream cone and just "people watch". Walk down to Children's Beach and watch the ferries come and go, or Stroll down to "Step Beach" with your favorite wine, and sit and watch the most amazing sunset's with colors that make Nantucket so unique.
