Merchants' Holiday Open House

• Napa works hard to keep its small town feel and nothing reflects its success better than this neighborly kick-off to the holiday season. It starts with the lighting of Napa's official tree blazing with lights and heavy with ornaments. Then, downtown Napa's quaint shops stage a community open house. Browse through the antiques and collectibles with which the shopping in Napa abounds, while sipping hot cider and nibbling on the cookies and other treats that the shopkeepers keep on hand to spread the holiday cheer. Santa will be on hand, too, serenaded by strolling carolers. The event is free.
