- Renowned Chef Neela Paniz's new venture in Napa California. Serving contemporary Indian cooking with emphasis on small plates and street food. Light and lively, the food is "homestyle" and creative, using many ingredients available in the wine valley. The wine selection has been compiled by David Chaparro, her partner from their previous venture, Bombay Cafe of Los Angeles. The decor features art and furniture from Neela's personal collection and the wine bar has TV's playing Bollywood music videos. Warm and inviting, Neela's is the only one of it's kind in the Napa valley region.

Sadly, Neela's closed on July 31, 2012. Neela and her husband decided to retire. Neela won The Food Network's "Chopped" in December 2011.

Great Indian home cooking.

We fancied some Indian food in napa. Go figure! Siri helped us find this place and despite a 45 minute wait for a table ( despite having tables empty) we were fed some pretty amazing...

The owners would greet you,she is the chef for indian food, the husband is cuban=brought in some cuban food into the menu=interesting. The staff and chef very accommodating and friendly....
